Responsibilities

• 7+yr working experience/expertise in following activities
• Install, configure,monitor and maintain DB2 LUW( version 11.1,11.5 and higher) database management systems.
• Upgrading databases to latest version in HADR environment
• Expertise in install,configure,upgrade, maintaining TSA HA Cluster
• Expertise in migrating from Oracle to DB2
• Expertise in migrating from On-Prem to Cloud
• Monitor database performance and proactively address performance issues.
• Managing high availability features – Log shipping, Replication, Disaster Recovery (HADR), switch database roles between primary and standby
• Design and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure the availability of data in the event of a disaster or system failure.
• Maintain database security and access controls to ensure the protection of sensitive data.
• Develop and implement database maintenance procedures to optimize database performance.
• Work with application developers to design and implement database structures that meet their needs.
• Troubleshoot database issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Ensure data integrity by monitoring and analyzing database activity.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database administration procedures.
