Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java EE/Spring-based backend systems for automotive applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.  
• Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.  
• Conduct unit testing using Junit and other testing frameworks to ensure the quality and integrity of the codebase.  
• Work with Payara Server to deploy and manage Java applications in production environments.  
• Utilize the Atlassian Toolkit, including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket, for issue tracking, documentation, and version control.  
• Use Maven as a build tool to manage dependencies and automate the build process. 
• Set up and configure Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. 
• Containerize applications using Docker for efficient deployment and scalability.  
• Work with Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage containerized applications in a distributed environment.  
• Develop and maintain databases, primarily PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.  
• Implement and consume SOAP and RESTful web services to facilitate communication between systems.  
• Utilize Selenium for automated testing of web-based applications. 
• Apply cloud knowledge, primarily AWS with a growing Azure component, to develop scalable and resilient solutions.  
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Automotive domain, including industry standards, protocols, and best practices.
  

Other Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer, preferably within the Automotive domain. 
• Strong proficiency in Java EE and Spring frameworks.  
• Experience with Junit and other testing frameworks for unit testing. 
• Familiarity with Payara Server for application deployment and management. 
• Proficiency in using the Atlassian Toolkit, including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket. 
• Knowledge of Maven for dependency management and build automation. 
• Experience with Jenkins for setting up CI/CD pipelines. 
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. 
• Strong understanding of database systems, preferably PostgreSQL. 
• Proficiency in developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services. 
• Experience with Selenium for automated testing of web-based applications.  
• Cloud know-how, particularly in AWS, with exposure to Azure.  
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.  
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment
