Responsibilities
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Perform functional, regression, and usability testing for web applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools.
- Test Case Development:
- Write, review, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Maintain and update test documentation as the application evolves.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues.
- Participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
- Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for routine tests (if applicable).
- Utilize testing tools for performance and load testing.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Test the web application across different browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure compatibility.
- Monitor website performance and identify areas for optimization.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on testing progress, defect rates, and application stability.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in web application testing.
- Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or similar.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web development concepts.
- Experience testing responsive web designs across multiple browsers and devices.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of Agile development practices.
Good to have
- Exposure to automation frameworks like TestNG, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
