Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
* Design APIs and integrate third-party services to ensure seamless backend operations.
* Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
* Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Mentor, guide, and manage junior developers in the team.
* Participate in code reviews, identify bottlenecks, and recommend coding best practices.
* Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Manage version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Other Requirements

* 1-3 years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
* Proficiency in frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
* Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming concepts.
* Experience in building RESTful APIs and Apollo GraphQL.
* Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
* Knowledge of microservices architecture and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
* Excellent knowledge of Git and version control practices.
* Hands-on experience with unit testing (e.g., Mocha, Jest).
* Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for performance optimizations.

Good to have

* Knowledge of frontend technologies like React.js/Angular for better collaboration with frontend teams.
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Understanding of security best practices (OWASP) and API gateway management.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
