Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers supporting SMS traffic.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2,
•  S3, VPC, IAM, and related services.
• Handle SMPP protocol integrations and manage SMS gateways like Kannel.
• Maintain uptime and high performance of services through continuous optimization.
• Configure and manage CentOS, Apache, and MySQL environments.
• Troubleshoot issues involving networking, DNS, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and task scheduling.
• Regularly apply system and security patches; ensure infrastructure hardening.
• Set up and manage HTTP and proxy-based load balancing for high-traffic applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
• Provide critical remote support during off-hours or holidays, when necessary.

Other Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with CentOS/Linux server administration
• Working knowledge of MySQL database management
• Proficient in SMPP protocol and handling Kannel SMS Gateway
• Experience with Apache, HTTP-based APIs, and web server performance tuning
• Good understanding of network fundamentals, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing
• Expertise in shell scripting for automation
• Must hold a Red Hat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar role
• Experience with system and database backup strategies, including remote mirroring
• Ability to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, phishing threats, and DoS attacks
• Familiarity with virtualization, caching mechanisms, and monitoring tools
• Prior experience in automating server operations and maintenance
• Capability to collaborate with developers to diagnose performance bottlenecks or code-related issues
