Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for unsecured MSME loans using cash flow-based assessment of bank statements, GST data, and financials
• Manage and mentor a team of underwriters, ensuring accuracy, TAT, and policy adherence
• Define and refine credit policies; drive automation with product and tech teams
• Monitor portfolio performance, track delinquencies, and flag early risk indicators
• Generate regular risk reports and recommend enhancements to credit models
• Implementation of Policy & process
• Ensuring Quality of Underwriting (through hind sighting / audits), Login's ( through FTNR dashboards ) & Productivity
• Suggest process improvements to improve accuracy & productivity, increase automation, reduce risk.

Other Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on underwriting experience in business lending, preferably unsecured.
• Strong understanding of cash flow-based credit evaluation, particularly for MSMEs.
• Proven track record of leading underwriting or credit ops teams.
• Prior experience in a fintech or a tech-driven NBFC is preferred.
• Familiarity with alternative data sources (GST, banking, bureau, etc.).
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Comfort working in a high-paced, data-driven, and agile environment.
