Responsibilities

• Develop High-Quality Code : Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and the Django framework, adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Provide Technical Leadership : Lead by example, mentor junior developers through code reviews and guidance, and contribute to raising the overall technical expertise of the team.
• Efficiently Resolve Issues : Debug and troubleshoot performance issues and functional defects in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the stability and reliability of our applications.
• Integrate Systems : Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and connections with various 3rd-party systems to enhance the functionality and interoperability of our platform.
• Optimize Backend Performance : Optimize database queries for performance and efficiency, diagnose and resolve complex backend challenges, and ensure the scalability of our applications.
• Contribute to Architecture and Design : Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate Effectively : Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software that meets user needs.
• Stay Updated : Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest advancements in Python, Django, and related technologies.
• Contribute to Testing : Participate in the development and execution of unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
• Document Solutions : Create clear and concise technical documentation for developed features and solutions.

Other Requirements

• Python & Django Expertise : 6+ years of strong hands-on professional experience developing applications using Python and the Django framework. This includes a deep understanding of Django's ORM, views, serializers, and templating system.
• Programming Fundamentals : Deep understanding of core programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Debugging & Code Review : Proven ability to effectively debug complex issues, conduct thorough and constructive code reviews, and foster a collaborative team environment.
• API Development & Integration : Extensive experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience integrating with various 3rd-party systems using different protocols and data formats.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with other Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
