Responsibilities

As the Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading our technology initiatives and driving the overall technology strategy of the company. You will work closely with the CTO & Executive team to align technology with business objectives, ensuring that our technology infrastructure and systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. With your expertise in the lending and wealth tech industry, you will lead the development of innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on technical expertise.

1. Technology Strategy: 

● Define and implement the overall technology strategy in alignment with the company's business goals and objectives. 

● Identify emerging technologies and trends in the fintech industry, and evaluate their potential for adoption to drive innovation and competitive advantage. 

● Collaborate with the executive team to prioritize technology investments and initiatives based on market demands and customer needs. 

2. Technical Leadership: 

● Provide technical leadership and guidance to the technology teams, including software development, data analytics, infrastructure, and security. 

● Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the technology organization. 

● Stay abreast of industry best practices and promote their adoption to drive efficiency and excellence in technology operations. 

3. Solution Development: 

● Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and robust technology solutions in the lending and wealth tech space. 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define product roadmaps, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. 

● Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to accelerate software development and deployment cycles. 

4. Technology Infrastructure: 

● Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and scalable technology infrastructure, including cloud platforms, data centres, networks, and systems. 

● Ensure data privacy and security standards are met and compliance with relevant regulations. 

● Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize system downtime and data loss. 

5. Team Management: 

● Build and lead a high-performing technology team, attracting and retaining top talent. 

● Set clear goals and expectations, provide coaching and mentorship, and conduct performance evaluations. 

● Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and individual growth. 

6. Stakeholder Management: 

● Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, product management, and operations, to understand their technology requirements and translate them into actionable plans. 

● Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about market trends and potential collaborations. 

7. Risk Management: 

● Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. 

● Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems from potential threats.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience, preferably in fintech 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading technology teams and driving technology strategy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in software development, architecture design, and implementation of large-scale systems. 
  • Deep understanding of fintech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory landscape in the lending and wealth tech industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and timelines for technology projects. 
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and cloud computing. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strategic mindset. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth.
