Responsibilities
Technical Support:
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral device issues.
- Address support tickets or service requests related to operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and various business applications.
Hardware and Software Installation:
- Install, configure, and set up desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
- Install, configure, and update software applications, including operating systems, antivirus programs, and business-related applications.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of computer networks and local area networks (LAN).
System Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to desktop systems and software to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, including replacing defective components or peripherals.
- Assist in upgrading software or hardware systems as needed to meet company requirements.
User Account Management:
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure proper security protocols and configurations are followed during the setup and management of accounts and devices.
Technical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Maintain asset inventories of desktop and laptop systems, peripherals, and software licenses.
Collaboration with IT Team:
- Work closely with other IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex issues.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and end-user support.
Other Requirements
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving desktop, laptop, and peripheral device issues.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common desktop software applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Familiarity with network configuration, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Standard working hours but may involve on-call availability or weekend work based on the company’s needs.
