We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Head with a strong background in launching and scaling brands in the online space. This role will involve taking ownership of the entire e-commerce strategy, from the conceptualization of a new brand to its market entry, growth, and establishment as a leader in its category. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital marketing, brand building, and e-commerce operations, with a proven track record of bringing new products or brands to market.

Responsibilities

  1. Brand Launch Strategy:
  • Lead the development and execution of the e-commerce strategy for launching new brands, including market research, product positioning, and go-to-market planning.
  • Identify target audiences and create brand messaging that resonates with customers in the digital space.
  • Define the brand's unique value proposition and ensure consistency across all digital channels.
  • Platform and Marketplace Management:
  • Oversee the setup and optimization of the e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Manage the launch of the brand across multiple online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart) and the company's own e-commerce site.
  • Ensure accurate product listings, pricing, and inventory management across all platforms.
  • Digital Marketing and Brand Building:
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, drive traffic, and convert visitors into customers.
  • Utilize SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and content marketing to grow the brand's online presence.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies to optimize ROI.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Drive online sales through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
  • Implement pricing strategies and promotional tactics that align with the brand's positioning and goals.
  • Customer Experience and Retention:
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience from the first touchpoint through post-purchase, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement customer service best practices and manage customer feedback to continuously improve the shopping experience.
  • Develop and manage loyalty programs, subscription models, or other retention strategies to increase customer lifetime value.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team, including marketing, operations, and customer service.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and results.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment on brand goals.
  • Vendor and Partner Relationships:
  • Establish and manage relationships with third-party vendors, such as payment gateways, logistics providers, and digital agencies.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure partnerships are aligned with the brand's objectives and budget.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to ensure the brand remains competitive.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the e-commerce experience and drive growth.
  • Regularly review and refine the brand's online strategy to adapt to changing market conditions.
  1. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including traffic, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, and sales revenue.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.


Other Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on launching and scaling new brands.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in building and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creativity and Innovation: A creative mindset with a passion for brand building and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
