Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team (manual & automation testers).
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
- Conduct regular review meetings, performance evaluations, and skill development planning.
- Test Planning & Strategy
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes.
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects/releases.
- Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure high-quality standards.
- Manual Testing
- Oversee and participate in functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- Review test scenarios, test cases, and ensure proper coverage.
- Validate product functionality and ensure adherence to requirements.
- Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks (UI/API).
- Identify test cases for automation and drive automation coverage.
- Work with the development team for CI/CD integration and test optimization.
- Quality Governance
- Ensure bug reporting, tracking, and closure through appropriate tools.
- Define QA metrics and generate quality reports for stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements, best practices, and standardization across QA.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and DevOps teams.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.
- Act as the QA point-of-contact for project stakeholders.
Other Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a lead role.
- Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
- Experience in API testing with tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in test case design, defect tracking, and test planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
