Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Oversee the end-to-end AR process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collections to maintain cash flow.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies with customers.
  • Prepare AR aging reports and provide insights to the management.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to address credit limit issues and manage credit approvals.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to minimize bad debts and credit risks.

Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Manage end-to-end AP operations, including vendor invoice processing and payments.
  • Review vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, considering discounts and payment terms.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor and control expenses in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Assist in vendor onboarding and regular performance evaluation.

Team Leadership and Process Improvement
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior/senior accountants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in AR and AP workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Assist in financial/ internal audits, providing necessary reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting related to AR and AP.

Other Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and compliances
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Leadership ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications Education

Graduation or Masters in Finance stream with minimum 50%

Experience: 5-7 years in AR/AP or financial operations

Skills: Excellent communication skills

Characteristics: Go getter and leadership abilities
