Responsibilities

  • Service Operations Management:

    • Oversee the daily activities of the service department to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
    • Develop and implement service processes, procedures, and policies to ensure consistent service delivery.
    • Coordinate and prioritize service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
    • Monitor and manage service schedules, ensuring appropriate resources are available to meet customer demand.
  • Team Management & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of service technicians, customer service representatives, or other staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge within the team.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that focuses on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution:

    • Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
    • Address customer complaints and escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients or customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.
    • Conduct follow-ups with customers to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Service Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service response time, resolution time, customer satisfaction, and first-time fix rate.
    • Analyze service performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential operational bottlenecks.
    • Report on service performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Budget & Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage the service department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
    • Forecast staffing needs and manage workforce allocation based on service demand.
    • Oversee inventory management, ensuring that necessary tools, equipment, and parts are available for service operations.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously evaluate and improve service processes to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
    • Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize service delivery.
    • Work with other departments (sales, marketing, IT, etc.) to align service offerings with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure that service operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Promote a safe working environment and ensure that team members follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with other departments (sales, logistics, procurement, etc.) to ensure a seamless service experience for customers.
    • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on service performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Other Requirements

  • Experience in leadership and management
  • 10+ Yrs experience in Automotive Industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to the position
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
