Responsibilities
1. Financial Management:
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee cash flow, banking, and investment activities.
- Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
2. Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage financial discrepancies.
3. Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, filing returns accurately and on time.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE financial laws and regulations affecting the business.
4. Financial Strategy:
- Advise management on financial planning, risk management, and cost optimization strategies.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies for projects and investments.
- Monitor project budgets and provide financial insights for decision-making.
5. Audit & Risk Management:
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs and profitability.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Other Requirements
- Education: CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry in the UAE.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Good to have
- Experience handling project accounting for interior design or construction companies.
- Familiarity with the Dubai Municipality and other local regulatory requirements.
