The Operations Executive - KYC will be responsible for managing and overseeing the KYC process to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory requirements. This role includes handling customer onboarding, verifying documentation, maintaining customer records, and ensuring that KYC procedures are consistently followed. The Operations Executive will work closely with compliance teams to monitor and mitigate risk associated with customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • KYC Documentation: Perform due diligence on customer profiles and verify their identity, using documents and data provided (e.g., ID, address proof, etc.) in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Onboarding: Manage the customer onboarding process, ensuring that all KYC procedures are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • KYC Screening: Conduct screenings for new and existing customers against various risk-based databases (e.g., PEPs, Sanctions lists, and adverse media checks).
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies related to KYC/AML requirements.
  • KYC Updates: Regularly update customer records, ensuring the information is accurate and in compliance with the regulatory timelines and requirements for periodic review.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on KYC cases, detailing any compliance concerns, escalations, and resolutions.
  • Risk Assessment: Assist the compliance team in identifying high-risk customers and escalating cases that require further investigation.
  • Training and Awareness: Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring that internal processes are aligned with the latest KYC/AML regulations. Provide training to new hires on KYC processes and best practices.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Legal, Risk, and Customer Service to ensure smooth KYC processing and resolution of customer issues.

  • Other Requirements

    • Experience: Minimum 1 year in Banking Operations/KYC Documentation.
    • Qualification: Graduation (mandatory)
    • Familiarity with KYC processes and banking regulations.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
