Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Oversee inventory accounting for gold, diamonds, and other precious metals/stones.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate and manage audits (internal and statutory).
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings specific to the jewellery industry.
• Handle reconciliation of bank statements and vendor/customer accounts.
• Implement internal controls and processes for accounting and inventory systems.
• Support management with insights on cost control, profitability, and financial trends.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations, especially those affecting the jewellery sector.

Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/ICWA preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the jewellery industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting specific to jewellery.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
