Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Auditing: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Tax Planning & Compliance: Ensure timely filing of tax returns (corporate, VAT, GST, etc.), and maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations. Provide advice on tax planning and strategies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and report on financial forecasts, budgets, and performance. Analyze budget deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs. Recommend cost-saving measures and optimize resource allocation.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage working capital to ensure liquidity.
  • Financial Strategy: Support the development of long-term financial plans aligned with business goals. Provide financial analysis for decision-making on investments and growth.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including corporate governance, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, and assist with their development and performance evaluation.

Other Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with auditing and financial controls.
