Presales Engineer

The system presales is responsible for the successful sizing and designing of all system technologies such as Server, Storage, virtualization, backup, DR & Cloud solutions for our customers. This highly-visible individual will play a key role in the success of the company by improving their skills to enriching the customer experience. The presales shall work closely with the Sales team and Project execution team. The Presales engineer should have excellent technical documentation skill to prepare documents such as technical proposal, commercial proposal, scope of work, project plan in MS project, high level design diagram in MS Visio, customer presentation in MS PowerPoint as per industry standard and in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and translate them into winning technical proposals.
  • Design and size system solutions, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry best practices.
  • Craft compelling technical and commercial proposals, along with project plans and high-level design diagrams using industry standard tools like MS Project and Visio.
  • Partner closely with the project execution team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.
  • Prepare the BOQ in vendors partner portal and generate the list price Perform deal registration in vendor portal
  • Strong technical expertise in server, storage, virtualization, backup, DR, and cloud technologies.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A passion for customer satisfaction and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Technical support team members remotely when required.
  • Empower customer engagements through technical consultation to build and maintain customer confidence.

Other Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in electronic engineer/electrical engineer/computer science or equivalent. 
  • 3+ years’ experience as a technical\Presales role or with professional services or systems engineering designing Systems, Storage, and Cloud, including highly available, redundant network/system design and implementation. 
  • Excellent communication, Proficiency in English language and interpersonal skills. 
  • In-depth technical knowledge of networking, unified communications, and security technologies. 
  • Relevant certifications- Azure/AWS, VMWare, DellEMC, HPE, Veeam are highly desirable. 
  • Understanding of the Middle East market is a plus
