We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented General Manager - Sales and Marketing to drive our vision forward. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing sales teams, achieving aggressive targets of 200–300 admissions per month, and experience in organizations like Simplilearn, Koenig, Great Learning, or UpGrad.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement robust sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goal of becoming a private university.
  • Drive admissions growth across a diverse portfolio of IT certification and software programs.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to scale operations.
  • Admissions and Revenue Growth:
  • Achieve a monthly target of 200–300 admissions consistently across multiple programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize the student onboarding process and deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of at least 10 sales and marketing executives (academic counselors).
  • Establish clear KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure team success.
  • Marketing Execution:
  • Design and execute impactful digital and traditional marketing campaigns to increase lead generation and brand visibility.
  • Leverage data analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer Engagement and Retention:
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students, corporate clients, and institutional partners.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective engagement strategies.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Streamline sales and marketing processes to maximize efficiency and achieve admissions targets.
  • Partner with training and program delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Provide actionable insights to the senior management team to inform strategic decisions.

Other Requirements

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in selling IT certification programs or software solutions, ideally in organizations like Simplilearn, Koenig, Great Learning, or UpGrad.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and sustain high admission volumes (200–300 admissions per month).
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of IT certifications, software programs, and educational technologies.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, CRM tools, and sales pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
