Responsibilities

Develop and Generation of Leads

- Develop and lead strategies for purchasing strategies in Jewellery and other necessary items, or goods required

- Track and record key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements and documentation

- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries

- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Negotiation and Strategies

- Craft negotiation practices and strategies and close deals with optimal terms

- Assess and manage multi-purpose of purchasing goods and mitigate risks

- Seek and partner resources with reliable vendors and suppliers in and outside of Kerala

- Always look for a better quality and achievable rates, prices

- Handles issues and finding a resolution for every substantial cases

- Ensure to place best options for all requisition

- Reduce local purchases and restrict the same only to the approved range of products

- Forecasting sales strategy based on Customer flow and season and purchase accordingly

Forecasting Market Trends & Stock Level

- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer – supplier power in and outside Kerala

- Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking

- Identifying customer trends, new trends from supplier as per region and strategizing purchase as per the same

- Identify new supplier every month to match with market trend

- Filing stock as per approved stock level

- Understanding the stock movement and developing sales strategy based on the items as per the requirements

- Identify manufacturer for direct purchase and avoid middlemen/wholesaler both local and abroad

- Managing office stock levels to avoid any lead items on the special products

Contract Management

- Prepare and maintain contract agreement for suppliers for in and outside Kerala

- Maintain records of goods ordered and received

- Locate vendors or materials, equipment or supplies, and examine them in order to determine product availability and getting delivery on timely basis

- Prepare and process requisitions in daily basis and purchase orders for materials or goods needed outside jewellery division

- Resolve contractor and vendor grievances and claims against suppliers in and outside Kerala.

Purchasing Quality Assurance and Managing Procurement Team

- Ensure the entire purchasing team completes the purchasing process on time and according to priority.

- Ensure that vendors supply the products with proper documents and information.

- Ensure Purchasing Executives completes the Store requirement on time. (1 week from order)

- Ensure that Purchasing Executives are carrying out the market trends on their assigned area.

- Visiting the Store on Regular basis and submitting the reports to Operation Manager and Director

- Full responsibility for quality checking

- Ensure all documentation and reporting are submitted on regular basis to the Management, including purity checking report

Diamond Manufacturing

- Ensure Creative and seasonal designs and do regularly with costing matching to the market conditions.

- Identify diamonds supplier & manufacturer and negotiate for credit and consignment

- Ensure the diamond Jewelries are made with highest quality and purity.

Any other tasks or responsibilities, which might be assigned to you according to the business needs.

Other Requirements

• Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and jewellery manufacturing processes.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
