Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand business needs and provide HR solutions that support organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with department heads on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
  • Actively support employee lifecycle processes – from onboarding to exit.
  • Lead performance management cycles, including appraisals, feedback mechanisms, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Drive employee engagement, team-building activities, and cultural initiatives.
  • Resolve employee relations issues with a fair, objective, and legally compliant approach.
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development team to identify skill gaps and support employee upskilling/reskilling.
  • Ensure HR policies are communicated effectively and are in compliance with labor laws.
  • Analyze HR metrics (attrition, engagement, performance, etc.) and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and team leads on people matters.
  • Coordinate HR activities for Technovalley’s subsidiaries in India and abroad, including Technovalley Africa.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA in HR preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist in IT/EdTech/Consulting organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve complex employee issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with global HR practices is a plus, especially in African markets.

Good to have

  • Prior experience working with academic institutions, education management organizations, or training providers.
  • Understanding of faculty and student engagement processes, academic HR operations, and educational compliance will be a strong plus.
