Responsibilities

• Edit and Assemble Footage: Review raw footage, select the best takes, and assemble them into a coherent and engaging narrative flow.
• Post-Production Enhancement: Incorporate and synchronize various elements including dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality and impact of the video.
• Color Correction and Grading: Perform color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency, enhance mood, and maintain brand aesthetics across all video content.
• Audio Mixing and Sound Design: Mix and master audio tracks, remove background noise, and add sound design elements to create a professional and immersive auditory experience.
• Storytelling: Utilize editing techniques to tell compelling stories, manage pacing, and build emotional resonance that resonates with the target audience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, implement feedback, and ensure the final product aligns with creative vision and technical specifications.
• File Management: Organize and manage digital assets, project files, and media libraries efficiently, ensuring proper version control and archiving.
• Format Optimization: Export videos in various formats and resolutions optimized for different platforms (e.g., social media, website, broadcast, streaming, etc.).
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to footage quality, format compatibility, or software glitches.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest video editing trends, techniques, and software advancements to continually improve quality and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all video content meets high journalistic and technical quality standards.

Other Requirements

• Experience: Proven work experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse video projects.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard video editing software, such as:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Final Cut Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics and visual effects)
  • Adobe Photoshop (for graphic integration)
  • [Other relevant software, if applicable, e.g., Avid Media Composer, Audition, etc.]
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of video post-production workflows and best practices.
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, and delivery specifications.
