Responsibilities
- The Inventory Manager in retail will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring stock availability, and optimizing inventory control processes to minimize costs and maximize sales.
- They monitor inventory, order new stock, coordinate with suppliers, and analyze sales data to forecast demand and optimize replenishment strategies.
- Overseeing all aspects of inventory, including monitoring stock levels, ordering new stock, and managing returns.
- Implementing and maintaining systems for accurate inventory tracking and control, including audits and cycle counts.
- Working with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and negotiate favourable terms.
- Analyzing sales data to forecast demand, identify trends, and optimize inventory levels.
- Using data and predictive analytics to anticipate future demand and adjust inventory accordingly.
- Developing and implementing efficient replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and organization for efficient storage and retrieval of inventory.
- Utilizing inventory management software and systems to track inventory levels, manage stock movements, and generate reports.
- Conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures to minimize inventory-related expenses.
- In larger roles, managing and training inventory personnel, including warehouse staff and inventory clerks.
- Communicating with other departments, such as sales and operations, to coordinate inventory and logistics.
- Identifying and resolving inventory-related problems, such as shortages, overstocking, or discrepancies.
Other Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Min 3 years of experience in similar industry as Inventory Manager
- Salary: Up to 30k/month (negotiable) + Bonus, Allowances
