We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Analyst to join our team and support inspection-based decision-making across power infrastructure assets. The ideal candidate will specialize in data visualization, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, and possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering concepts.

• Analyze inspection data: Process and interpret large datasets from various power line inspection technologies, including LiDAR, thermal imagery, drone footage, and visual inspections, to identify anomalies, defects, and potential risks.
• Develop predictive models: Create and refine statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict equipment failures, identify critical maintenance needs, and optimize inspection schedules.
• Data visualization and reporting: Design and generate clear, concise, and impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to engineers, operations teams, and management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams: Work closely with electrical engineers, field technicians, and asset management teams to understand their data needs, validate findings, and support decision-making.
• Identify data quality issues: Implement processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of inspection data.
• Contribute to process improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data collection methods, analysis techniques, and overall inspection workflows.
Qualification:
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, / a related quantitative field OR any Technical degree
Experience:
•3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in an industrial, infrastructure, or utility setting.
• Demonstrable experience with power systems or electrical infrastructure. Experience with power line inspection technologies (e.g., drones,
LiDAR, thermal cameras) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with data visualisation tools.
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including AC/DC circuits, power transmission and distribution, fault analysis, and material science related to power infrastructure.
• Experience with geospatial data analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is beneficial.
• Electrical engineering expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power transmission, distribution, and common power line faults (e.g., insulator degradation, conductor damage, vegetation encroachment) to data interpretation and problem- solving.
