The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Odoo servers (both community and enterprise editions). You will also collaborate closely with the development and functional teams to ensure system availability, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Odoo servers (on-premise or cloud environments).
• Manage Linux servers (primarily Ubuntu/Debian) that host Odoo environments.
• Perform regular updates, upgrades, and patches to the Odoo system and its dependencies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services.
• Configure and maintain PostgreSQL databases used by Odoo, including backups and restorations.
• Implement and manage Odoo multi-instance architecture (if required).
• Automate tasks using shell scripting and other tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Set up and manage SSL certificates, reverse proxy (Nginx), and domain configurations.
• Implement security best practices including firewall rules, fail2ban, and user access controls.
• Collaborate with developers to support deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and Git-based workflows.
• Maintain documentation related to server configurations, architecture, and SOPs.

Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in system administration, with specific experience managing Odoo environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) server administration.
• Solid understanding of Odoo architecture and PostgreSQL database management.
• Experience with Nginx, Apache, and SSL/TLS configuration.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools is a plus.
• Good understanding of network security, firewalls, and access control.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
