Responsibilities

1. Cleaning Patient Rooms: Ensure patient rooms are cleaned and sanitized according to hospital standards, including changing bed linens, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies.

2. Disinfecting Common Areas: Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in common areas such as waiting rooms, hallways, and elevators to minimize the spread of infections.

3. Waste Management: Properly dispose of medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard bags, in accordance with hospital protocols and safety regulations.

4. Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in patient rooms, corridors, and other areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.

5. Restocking Supplies: Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies, linens, toiletries, and other amenities in patient rooms and common areas.

6. Handling Laundry: Collect, transport, and process soiled linens and clothing, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing clean items.

7. Responding to Spills and Emergencies: Promptly address spills, accidents, and other cleaning emergencies to ensure the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and staff.

8. Reporting Maintenance Issues: Identify and report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel for resolution.
